TMC Fertility Centre has achieved much for couples with all kinds of infertility problems. Here are some of our achievements:

  1. Produced IVF pregnancy rates comparable to top centres around the world.

  2. Produced Malaysia's and Singapore's 1st Blastocyst PGD Baby.

    Yet another historical achievement...

  3. Produced Malaysia's and Singapore's 1st IVF surrogate baby.

IVF baby delivered by surrogate mother in mid 1996. The embryo was implanted in the womb of the host and carried to full term. The genetic mother had a diseased womb which was incapable of carrying her own baby.

  4. Produced Malaysia's 1st Frozen Embryo baby.

Malaysia's first Freeze-Thaw IVF pregnancy from a frozen embryo delivered to a Chinese woman at end 1996. The patient had another Frozen-Embryo baby from TMC delivered a few years later.

  5. Produced a majority of Malaysia's IVF babies and Oocyte-donation babies.

  6. Produced 11 (eleven) consecutive ART pregnancies and 10 consecutive IVF.

All eleven patients who underwent ART at TMC between 19th July to 1st August 2001 became pregnant. 7 underwent IVF, 2 ICSI and 1 MESA-ICSI. 9 of these proceeded to deliver live babies.

  7. Produced Malaysia's first Conception Twins (born one and a half years apart) and first Conception Quadruplets (born two and a half years apart).

Twins born 18 months apart to British couple. The "Conception Twins" were conceived from the same batch of sperm and eggs. The first twin, the result of GIFT, was delivered in early 1997 and the second twin, frozen earlier from excess fertilised eggs after GIFT, and transferred back into the uterus 18 months later, was delivered in mid 1998.

The country's first "Conception Quadruplets" consist of 2 babies born in 2001 and another 2 babies born in Jan 2003.
