State-of-the-art facilities

TMC JB’s comprehensive facilities consist of a purpose-built complex which houses the following :
• Embryology laboratory

• Andrology laboratory

• IVF operating theatre

• Daycare
 
• Controlled rate freezer for slow freezing for sperm and embryo cryopreservation

• Vitrification facilities - a special freezing technique without the use of conventional machines or freezers
 
• Semen collection room located right next to andrology lab reduces sample transfer time and preserves the semen from grave temperature changes that could affect its quality

• Operation theater located right next to embryology lab for easier and quicker sample transfer

• During egg (oocyte) pick up process, tubes containing follicular fluid will be sent into the laboratory as quick as possible to minimise temperature fluctuations

• An incubator is placed next to the laminar flow hood for culture medium equilibration and as a working incubator during the whole process

• State-of-the-art micromanipulators for a procedure known as intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) : enables storage and recall of positions and allows the most complex micromanipulation techniques to be carried out rapidly, easily and precisely

• Laser system (ZILOS-tk) attached to inverted microscope : allows procedures such as laser assisted hatching, embryo defragmentation, lysed cell removal and embryo biopsy
